Off-spinner Prenelan Subrayen, who made his Test debut in Zimbabwe, gets a maiden call-up to white-ball squads

Aiden Markram and Temba Bavuma are set to lead South Africa in the upcoming white-ball tour of Australia in August. Bavuma returns after recovering from a hamstring injury sustained during the World Test Championship final in June, while Markram was rested. Both missed the recent Test series in Zimbabwe, and Markram also sat out the T20I tri-series involving New Zealand.

"It's great to have our senior players back," stated head coach Shukri Conrad. "Their experience adds significant value as we build a strong core in both formats. This series is crucial for shaping our squads for the upcoming T20 World Cup and the 50-over World Cup in 2027."

Conrad added, "Touring Australia presents a tough challenge. Their conditions and intensity will test us, and that's exactly what we need."
