Devon Conway has been named in the New Zealand squad for the upcoming T20I tri-series in Zimbabwe, which also features South Africa. The left-handed batsman will replace Finn Allen, who sustained an injury during the ongoing Major League Cricket 2025.
"We're really gutted for Finn," stated New Zealand head coach Rob Walter. "I was looking forward to working with him and to see him continue his form from the MLC but unfortunately injuries happen. We're lucky to be able to call on someone of Devon's quality to replace Finn."
In addition to Conway's inclusion, New Zealand has also added Mitch Hay, James Neesham, and Tim Robinson as cover for Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Glenn Phillips, and Rachin Ravindra. The latter four players are scheduled to participate in the MLC final on Sunday. This strategic move ensures adequate squad depth.
New Zealand's first match of the tri-series, scheduled from July 14 to 26, will take place on July 16.
