Shreyanka Patil and Priya Mishra have been ruled out of the India A women's team's upcoming tour of Australia due to fitness concerns. The multi-format tour is scheduled to begin on August 7.
Patil, an all-rounder, was initially included in the squad but was subject to clearance from the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Her return to competitive cricket has been delayed, pushing back her fitness clearance to at least the start of the T20 series in Australia.
Legspinner Mishra is also out of the tour due to an undisclosed injury. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) stated that both players are under the care of the BCCI Medical Team at the Centre of Excellence and are undergoing their Return-to-Play protocols.
Yastika Bhatia has been added to the one-day squad. Dhara Gujjar and Prema Rawat will replace Patil and Mishra respectively across all formats. Gujjar and Rawat were initially named in selective squads but will now extend their stay.
Bhatia's inclusion in the one-day squad suggests the BCCI is closely monitoring her ahead of the Women's ODI World Cup, which is just over two months away. She was also part of India's squad in the recent ODI series against England, where India won 2-1, but didn't play.
India A will play three T20s, three one-day matches, and one four-day match against Australia from August 7 to August 24.
