India faced a concerning moment during the fourth Test against England in Manchester as Jasprit Bumrah, their key pace bowler, appeared to injure his left ankle. The incident, caught on camera, sparked fears of a significant setback for the team.

The incident occurred on Day 3. A video circulated showing Bumrah stumbling on the stairs during the second session. He was seen grimacing and limping back onto the field at Old Trafford. This immediately raised concerns about his fitness.
The incident happened shortly after Bumrah bowled just one over with the second new ball, after England's innings had progressed for 90 overs. He left the field soon after, fueling speculation of an ankle injury. Although he returned within 20 minutes, ICC playing conditions prevented him from bowling again until after the Tea break.
Adding to India's worries, Mohammed Siraj also seemed uncomfortable. He struggled to complete his 22nd over before limping off for treatment. However, Siraj returned to the field later in the session, alleviating some of the immediate concerns.
India's pace attack has already been depleted during the series, with Arshdeep Singh, Akash Deep, and Nitish Kumar Reddy sidelined due to injuries. Anshul Kamboj was drafted in as a replacement, but India's resources faced further tests.
Meanwhile, England solidified their dominance in the Test. Joe Root scored a remarkable 150, surpassing Ricky Ponting to become the second-highest run-scorer in Test history with 13,409 runs. Root formed a 144-run partnership with Ollie Pope (71).
England concluded Day 3 at a commanding 544/7, holding a lead of 186 runs. Ben Stokes remained unbeaten on 77.
