Zimbabwe has announced its 16-member squad for the upcoming T20I tri-series featuring South Africa and New Zealand. The series is scheduled to commence on July 14, with Sikandar Raza appointed as the captain.
The squad sees the return of left-arm pacer Richard Ngarava, who has recovered from a lower-back injury. All-rounder Brian Bennett is also set to make a comeback after missing a portion of the recent Test series against South Africa due to a concussion.
Zimbabwe's selection includes three uncapped players: wicketkeeper-batter Tafadzwa Tsiga, left-arm pacer Newman Nyamhuri, and legspinner Vincent Masekesa. Ryan Burl, Tony Munyonga, and Tashinga Musekiwa, who impressed during the T20I series against Ireland in February, have retained their places in the 16-man squad.
The host nation, Zimbabwe, will kick off their tri-series campaign against South Africa on July 14. The series will follow a double round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the final on July 26 at the Harare Sports Club.
