Ayush Mhatre will once again lead the India U19 team as they embark on a tour of Australia in September. The tour will feature three one-day matches and two multi-day games against their Australian counterparts.
Mhatre recently captained the team in England, where India secured a 3-2 victory in the Youth One-Day series. The two-match Test series concluded in a draw. While wicketkeeper-batter Abhigyan Kundu remains in the squad after serving as vice-captain in England, Vihaan Malhotra has been named as the deputy for the upcoming Australia tour.

Several players who participated in the England tour have retained their spots in the squad. These include Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Rahul Kumar, Harvansh Singh, R.S. Ambrish, Kanishk Chouhan, Henil Patel, D. Deepesh, Anmoljeet Singh, and Naman Pushpak.
Joining the squad are notable inclusions such as Kishan Kumar, Udhav Mohan, and Aman Chauhan. Khilan Patel also makes a return after recovering from a stress reaction in his right leg, which sidelined him for the England tour.
D. Deepesh and Naman Pushpak, who initially joined the England tour as injury replacements for Aditya Rana and Khilan Patel respectively, have now secured permanent positions in the main squad for the Australia tour.
The 18-member squad includes two wicketkeepers, Abhigyan Kundu and Harvansh Singh. Additionally, five players have been named as standbys: Yudhajit Guha, Laxman, BK Kishore, Alankrith Rapole, and Arnav Bugga.
The series is scheduled to commence on September 21 at Norths, which will serve as the venue for all three one-day matches and the first multi-day match, spanning from September 30 to October 3. The second multi-day game will be held in Mackay from October 7 to 10.
